10 years ago, I became concerned about the way we managed our credit, we predominantly used the store managers to do the debt collection. The problem was that the store managers would develop relationships with the client and when it came to collecting debt it would be difficult to have those kinds of conversations. This resulted in a half-hearted attempt at following a logical credit policy.
